14 years ago, on 11th September 2005, England’s star batsman, Kevin Pietersen played a knock of his life when he scored his maiden Test century against Australia at the Oval. Pietersen scored 158 runs in the 2nd innings of the 5th Ashes Test, his knock included 15 boundaries and 7 sixes. Although the match was drawn, but Kevin Pietersen was named “Man of the Match” for his splendid knock.
The 39-year old represented England in 104 Test matches, his sublime record includes 8181 runs in the format at an average of 47.28. He played his last Test match against Australia at Sydney back in 2014.
