Pakistan’s new head coach-cum-chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq has elucidated the selection criteria for ensuring a spot in the national side. Talking to the media during Central Punjab’s camp at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, Misbah said the priority was on players showcasing quality fitness and high levels of discipline.
“Players who give their best in terms of fitness, discipline and performance will get preference in selection for the national side,” he said.
The former Pakistan skipper also assured the players that he would always be available for advice regarding cricket-related matters. “Whenever you face any difficulty, get in touch with your coaches including me. Also put in the hard yards during training and don’t do practice just for the sake of doing practice,” the 45-year-old said.
