Vaughan slams Anderson for his unfriendly pitches comment

The England cricket team has a great opportunity to gain a consolation win in the final Ashes Test this year as it is in a great position to win the game at The Oval. The Aussies played better cricket than England throughout the series which eventually helped them in retaining the prestigious trophy on the English soil.

English pacer James Anderson recently complained about the quality of pitches during the Ashes as he said that the tracks offered more help to the Australian bowlers as opposed the native bowlers who were given ‘unfriendly’ pitches.

Former captain of the England side, Michael Vaughan has slammed the injured pacer on his comments regarding pitches as he said that hearing such a thing from one of the greatest English bowlers is disappointing since it indicates the start of a bizarre trend in English cricket.

“When we lose a series away, it is because the pitches at home offer too much assistance to bowlers and we cannot produce batsmen who can bat for long periods of time. It is just one big circle of excuses. When our greatest ever bowler, James Anderson, said this week he was disappointed the pitches have not helped us more in this Ashes series it showed the cycle had started up again,” he added.
