While Lahore Qalandars come across as a failure of the highly celebrated Pakistan Super League (PSL), same cannot be said about their off the field activities. With talent hunts like Player Development Program (PDP), Lahore Qalandars established a platform for the young crop of cricketers to portray their skills and grab the attention.
One of the noticeable recruits of the last season of PDP included a leg-spinner from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) who is known by the name of Maaz Khan. The rising spin sensation rose to fame by claiming a hat-trick in the talent hunt tournament of Lahore Qalandars. Maaz was also a part of the victorious team of Lahore in the inaugural edition of the Abu Dhabi T20 League.
Recently, the leggie shared his gratitude to Lahore Qalandars for changing his life. He added that the franchise allowed him a different platform to polish his skills. Moreover, the resident of violence-hit Bajaur Agency revealed that he would continue to work hard and become a top-class bowler. Knowing the recent shortage of spinners in Pakistan, Maaz can actually go on to don the green jersey.
