Pakistan’s legendary speedster and the newly appointed bowling coach, Waqar Younis has expressed his gratitude towards the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for trusting him with the big responsibility and giving him the opportunity to become a part of the new coaching staff.
Waqar looks ecstatic to start working under the newly appointed Pakistan’s head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq. The 47-year-old is hoping to build a strong unit that can dominate all oppositions.
Waqar is not oblivious to this role as his latest stint will be his fifth with the national team. Previously, he was Pakistan’s bowling coach in 2006-07 and head coach in 2010-11. Two years later, the Vehari pacer was once again appointed as the head of the side in 2014 and retained the position for two years till 2016.
