The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is determined to host Sri Lanka in Pakistan and has ruled out any possibility of shifting to a neutral venue for the ODI and T20I series which is scheduled to take place later this month. According to the planned schedule, both teams will be playing three T20Is and three ODIs in Lahore and Karachi between September 27 and October 9.
Sri Lanka's tour to Pakistan appeared well on-track before their Prime Minister's Office received reliable information of a possible terrorist threat on their team, while touring Pakistan.
"Our decision is very clear and we are not exploring any other neutral venue. We don't have the time to shift or lookout for any other option right now. Our default position is that it is Pakistan's home series and it will be played in the country,” PCB chairman Ehsan Mani said.
