Pakistan is set to tour Australia in late November to play two Test matches at The Gabba and Adelaide. The two games will be Pakistan’s first series as part of the inaugural World Test Championship, hence the stakes are high to perform and acquire a higher position on the points table.
Pakistan’s opening batsman Shan Masood has said the country’s premier first-class competition Quaid-e-Azam Trophy will help players get in the groove in red-ball cricket ahead of the important Australia series.
“Quaid-e-Azam Trophy will help us prepare for Australia series,” the 29-year-old said. Shan, who has been chosen to captain the Southern Punjab’s First XI side in QeA Trophy, is seen as Pakistan’s Test specialist given his decent run of form in the South Africa series earlier this year.
