The Australian opening batsman, David Warner is going through a grave period in the Ashes 2019 as he continues to struggle with the bat. The 32-year old was dismissed for just 5 runs when he tried to play Jofra Archer’s delivery away from the body.
The left-handed batsman was also dismissed multiple times by Stuart Broad in the series. He has not been able to set his feet in the hostile conditions of England. Remember Warner made a comeback in the Test arena after completing his one-year of ban which was inducted on him due to the ball tampering incident in South Africa last year.
The other factor that highlights the dismissal form of Warner along with the contrasting comeback of his fellow team-mate Steve Smith, is that the number of boundaries scored by Smith in this series (85) is more than the total runs scored by Warner (84) in the Ashes so far.
