Young Afghanistan leg-spinner Qais Ahmad was the chief destroyer of St Kitts and Nevis Patriots’ batting lineup in Guyana Amazon Warriors’ 7-wicket win in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) encounter. The 19-year-old, who has already made a name for himself in the shortest form of the game, spun his way to terrorize the opposing batsmen with his wide array of variations.
Qais was recently part of Afghanistan’s Test side that achieved a dominating triumph over Bangladesh. The youngster overshadowed senior South African spinner Imran Tahir in the CPL clash as he returned impressive figures of 3/28 in 4 overs.
Qais dismissed Mohammad Hafeez, Shamarh Brooks and Fabian Allen in his electrifying spell which eventually allowed him to achieve the man of the match award.
