India captain Virat Kohli has opened up about his tweet regarding MS Dhoni, insisting he was not revealing the wicket-keeper is about to retire. Kohli posted a tweet earlier this week of a picture of the pair in 2016, thanking Dhoni for making him "run like in a fitness test".
The Indian skipper got a social media lesson as the picture added fuel to the growing rumours of Dhoni’s retirement. Dhoni had taken a two-month break after the World Cup but there has been no further clarification from the cricketer himself.
"I think it was a lesson for me, that the way I think, the whole world does not think that way. There was nothing in a farthest stretch of my imagination (that it could be taken as retirement tribute) while putting that picture out on social media,” Kohli said.
