Yasir Shah demands spin bowling coach

Pakistan’s premier leg-spinner, Yasir Shah demands that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should hire a spin bowling coach as it will be beneficial for the national side. Pakistan’s spin department has been lacking the depth in producing quality spinners in recent years.

“I think appointing a spin bowling coach will be beneficial for Pakistan cricket. There is lack of good leg-spinners in the country which is why PCB needs to turn their attention towards this issue,” Yasir said.

The 33-year-old, who is representing Balochistan during the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam (QeA) Trophy tournament, also pointed out the problems faced while working alongside a foreign coach.

“I have benefitted more while working with a local coach as compared to a foreigner. The language barrier is also a significant issue, for me, when seeking the help of a foreign coach,” he added.
