Afghanistan continues to impress the cricket world with their belligerent performances in the limited-overs cricket. The men in blue clinched on to their 12th consecutive T20I win when they vanquished over Bangladesh by 25 runs at the Sher-e-Bangla International Stadium.
This has become a new record for Afghanistan Cricket Team in the T20I (beating their own record of 11 consecutive wins). Indubitably, they are turning out to be one of the dangerous teams in the shorter format of the game with perpetually improved performances.
Mohammad Nabi was star of the show with the bat for Afghanistan, scoring an unbeaten 84 against the Bengal Tigers. In chase of 165 runs, Bangladesh was bowled out for 139 courtesy a brilliant spell of bowling from Mujeeb Ur Rahman (4-15). Rashid Khan, Gulbadin Naib, and Fareed Ahmad also contributed with 2 wickets each. Nabi was awarded with “Man of the Match” for his outstanding display of batting.
