Guyana Amazon Warriors is having a great time in the ongoing edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) as they have won all four of their contests. Beating St Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis (twice) and Barbados, Guyana has managed to claim the top position on points table, displacing Trinbago Knight Riders.
A major strength of Guyana has been their sturdy bowling unit which was once again on display in their recent contest against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Skipper Shoaib Malik was delighted with his team’s effort as they restricted Patriots to 121, giving Guyana’s batting department an easy passage.
Sharing his jubilation on his official Twitter handle, the Sialkot born applauded his bowling unit for delivering yet again. He also commended the opener Brandon King for setting the platform with his brisk innings. Moreover, the 37-year old urged his unit to stay focused as he is dreaming to help them win the coveted title. Guyana’s next assignment will be to take down a strong Jamaica Tallawahs unit on September 18 at Kingston.
