George Munsey scores 2nd fastest T20I hundred

Scotland’s opening batsman George Munsey created history on Monday by scoring the 2nd fastest T20I hundred while helping his side register a comfortable victory against Netherlands in Malahide.

The left-hander completed his maiden international hundred in just 41 balls which stands second to David Miller, Rohit Sharma, and Czech Republic’s Sudesh Wickramasekara as they all took 35 balls to do so. The Scottish opener smashed 14 sixes and 5 fours during his stay at the wicket as he helped his side get to a total of 252 with some brilliant support from Kyle Coetzer who scored 89 runs of just 50 deliveries.

Moreover, Munsey also smashed 32 runs off one of Max O’Dowd’s overs which is the 2nd highest number of runs scored in a T20I over after Yuvraj Singh’s 36 against Stuart Broad.
