Pakistan opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq smashed his fifth first-class century in the game between Balochistan Sindh. Imam, who has not yet made an impact in Test cricket, displayed an exuberant array of strokes his lengthy stay at the crease.
The left-hander reached the three-figure mark from 235 deliveries with 12 boundaries to his name. The 23-year-old was eventually dismissed for his marathon innings of 152. Imam’s return to form is a pleasant sign for Pakistan cricket heading into the international season.
He batted with extreme patience and endurance in the sweltering conditions and steadily built his innings. Balochistan still have a mountain to climb as Sindh put on a colossal total of 473/5 declared in their first innings.
