Pakistan’s fast bowling aces Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz hit the nets at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore as they are preparing ahead of the limited-overs fixtures against Sri Lanka later this month. The duo rolled their arms over under the supervision of the new staff, head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis.
Amir and Wahab were in the headlines recently after both have decided to step away from red-ball cricket – with the latter taking an indefinite break from the longer version of the game. The two bowlers’ absence surely deprives Pakistan’s fast bowling department of quality players in Test cricket.
Nevertheless, Amir and Wahab remain an important part of the team in white-ball cricket as they represented Pakistan throughout the World Cup. The two left-arm pacemen were named among the 20 probables for the Sri Lanka series.
