Balochistan’s opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq had recently accused the opposing team Sindh of indulging in negative tactics during the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy clash between the two sides. In response to the complaints, Sindh coach Azam Khan has advised Imam to instead focus on his own game rather than resorting to blaming.
“Imam should focus on his batting rather than issuing statements. When pitch is not offering much assistance to bowlers, then a packed leg-side field is set to enforce an error from the batsman. This is called tactics and cannot be labelled negative cricket,” Azam stated.
The four-day fixture ended in a draw like the other two games in the opening round of the QeA Trophy. Sindh managed a mammoth 473/5 in their first innings while Balochistan mustered 355/9 in reply.
