Veteran spinner Zulfiqar Babar has showed no signs of a dip in his performances even at the ripe age of 40 as he is continuing to terrorize batsmen with his wily left-arm off-spin. While he is out of contention for a spot in the national side, Zulfiqar is dominating the wicket charts at the moment.
He is currently representing Southern Punjab in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Second XI tournament where he snaffled a brilliant 10-wicket haul in the clash against Central Punjab. The vastly experienced cricketer grabbed five wickets in both innings as the Punjab Derby ended in an exhilarating draw.
Zulfiqar, who has played 15 Tests for Pakistan, bamboozled the opposition with his vicious turn and bounce. While the opening round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy has mostly been a batting-friendly affair, this match proved to be an oddity, spearheaded by Zulfiqar’s stunning efforts.
