Bilal Asif shot to prominence when he smashed 114 runs on his T20 debut in the match between Sialkot Stallions and Abbottabad Falcons. Unleashing a breathtaking display of lusty blows, Bilal also made the record of the fastest T20 century in Pakistan’s domestic circuit on that fateful day in 2015.
While the 33-year-old is now more renowned for his off-spin abilities, he continues to hold a reputation of being an aggressive batsman capable of striking towering sixes. Recently, Wahab Riaz shed light on Bilal’s weird obsession with sixes declaring that he is not afraid to hold back his attacking instincts even in the longest form of the game.
"Bilal wants to hit six sixes in over - whether in a T20, 50-over game or in multi-day match is of little consequence to him. Bilal and I were having a chat yesterday, and Bilal said: I want to hit six sixes (in an over) ... it's my dream, and I will fulfil it,” Wahab revealed during a commentary stint at the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
