While St Lucia Zouks entered the running season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) with a lot of expectations, things haven’t been smooth for them in the first half. Playing 4 games of the tournament, Zouks had to taste defeat in three of them. Moreover, they have recently lost the services of all-rounder Thisara Perera who has been called for a Sri Lanka Cricket training camp.
To fill his absence, the franchise has hired the services of explosive South African cricketer Colin Ingram. The 34-year old comes in with a plethora of experience spreading across Big Bash League (BBL), Indian Premier League (IPL), Pakistan Super League (PSL), Vitality T20 Blast and other similar tournaments.
The Port Elizabeth born featured in 250 T20 games in which he mustered over 6000 runs at a batting average of 30.18. Ingram has previously been a part of West Indian T20 frenzy as he joined Trinbago Knight Riders in the later stages of the last season. He himself sits pretty excited to be snapped up by Zouks as he is eyeing a strong performance to lift his team in this year’s CPL.
