Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu recently returned to professional cricket after announcing retirement a couple of months ago due to his unjustified snubbing from the Indian squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
The right-hander was quite well settled in the Indian team but his inconsistent performances prior to the mega event tempted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to select a 3-dimensional player like Vijay Shankar.
The experienced cricketer now wants to express his talent on the field and help the coming generation of players while he is also hoping to draw attention of national selectors to himself once again.
“I play my brand of cricket and don’t care what others say. Once I keep performing I should be on the radar of Indian team selection. I am on a dual mission: go out there and express myself and groom young talent. It was certainly a difficult phase in my career when I announced my retirement. But, now I have come out of it. Fully committed. What happened is past,” said Rayudu.
