Following reasonable outings against Australia and West Indies, Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal is eyeing success in the upcoming Test series against South Africa. The three red-ball games, being a part of the ICC World Test Champions, will embark South Africa’s journey in this competition.
First contest which is to set to get underway from October 2 in Visakhapatnam will serve as Mayank’s first game on his country’s soil. Nevertheless, the 28-year old has no plans to take any extra pressure as he is looking to use his Australia and West Indies experience to do well against the rainbow nation.
Playing 4 Test matches till date, the Bangalore born has scored 275 runs with the help of 3 half-centuries. While a batting average of 39.28 doesn’t justify his potential, but these are early days of his career. Moreover, Mayank lauded the intensity of his team as he believes that the Indian unit is in a great frame of mind to claim glory in the forthcoming assignment.
