The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is said to be the backbone of cricket in Pakistan as it nourishes talent from all across the country and pits them against each other to get the best out of them. The revamped domestic structure is intended to improve the competition at this level so that the country could produce world class players for the international teams.
All six Cricket Associations have played one game under the new system so far, but the most impressive part of the tournament has been the interaction between players and fans. During all days of the game, players made sure that they interacted with the fans who had come out to support them in domestic games.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started this practice to encourage fans to visit the stadiums during the domestic season where they would get to meet with their cricketing stars, therefore, bridging the gap between the two main stakeholders of cricket.
