The induction of 19-year-old Aminul Islam into the Bangladesh side raised a lot of eyebrows given the fact the youngster has an experience of just a few games in the domestic circuit. Despite not having featured in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) yet, Aminul was given the chance to don national colours in the clash against Zimbabwe.
The teenage leg-spinner was immensely impressive in taming the Zimbabwe batsmen with his bowling as he kept things tight and gave little room for them to launch explosive hits. Aminul finished with a decent spell of 2/18 in 4 overs, which eventually helped Bangladesh secure a spot in the final of the ongoing T20 tri-series.
He claimed the important scalp of skipper Hamilton Masakadza amongst the two wickets, helping his side to a comfortable 39-run victory. The bowling heroics of Aminul means there is another addition to the wealth of spin talent in the country.
