The South African cricket team is currently playing a T20I series in India under a new captain i.e., Quinton de Kock, who is being groomed as the successor of regular skipper Faf du Plessis.
The Proteas have sent numerous fresh faces with the squad which is why there were 3 debutants in the team during Wednesday’s 2nd T20I. Former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes believes that lack of experience in the side would hurt South Africa in the India tour as the young players who have come in are yet to prove themselves.
“It's hard to replace the senior players. We have great fast bowlers in the side. We have guys who have got the skills, but have they done it before? No! The experience is what South Africa is going to miss and they have got a brand new management team,” he said.
