Unlike past, this time Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) devoted much time to market and create a hype about country’s prestigious first-class tournament called ‘Quaid-e-Azam Trophy’. New kits, better pitches, Kookaburra balls, lucrative financial structure and other initiatives were taken to ameliorate the quality of the domestic cricket.
All this has recently been admired by many cricket pundits including the head coach of Central Punjab Ijaz Ahmed Jr. He was found extremely delighted with all the changes made in domestic circuit by the governing body of Pakistan cricket. Ijaz added that using Kookaburra balls will force the pacers to put in extra effort which will improve their skills and help them to become a better version of themselves.
Interacting with media in the press conference, Ijaz said, “I think PCB has done really well with the changes. We know there are batting tracks and Kookaburra ball is different. Everyone has been skeptical about Pakistan not producing good pacers now, but this Kookaburra ball will ensure that the quicks will have to strive hard.”
