The Bangladesh cricket team would play the final of the T20I tri-series against Afghanistan on the 24th of September after it defeated Zimbabwe in the virtual knockout game on Wednesday.
The hosts put up a dominant show in all departments which eventually lead to unbearable pressure on the Zimbabwean batting during the run chase.
Mustafizur Rahman was also among wickets as he utilized his T20 experience to take wickets at the death, eventually ending up with figures of 2 for 38.
With those 2 wickets, Mustafizur took his T20I wickets tally to 51 as he currently stands on the number 2 spot in the list of Bangladesh’s highest T20I wicket-takers i.e., just behind Shakib Al Hasan who has 91 wickets in international T20s.
Moreover, the left-armer has also become the 4th quickest bowler to reach 50 T20I wickets as he has done so in 33 games while bowlers like Ajantha Mendis (26 games), Imran Tahir (31 games), and Rashid Khan (31 games) achieved the same milestone at a quicker pace.
