Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh achieved a lot for himself and his country during his playing days, but one of the most popular and memorable achievements of the flamboyant cricketer is hitting 6 sixes off the bowling of Stuart Broad in a T20I game.
On the day of September 19th, 2007, Yuvraj unleashed his magic against the English pacer during the group fixture of the World T20.
Later Yuvraj revealed that he was actually furious due to something Andrew Flintoff had said to him before that over, but Broad came in the way of his anger of frustration eventually.
Reminiscing on the historic over on its anniversary, Yuvraj said that winning that game against England helped the blue shirts in changing the course of cricket in India as it is still quite special for the fans.
“Honestly, after the fourth six I thought it could be six in six. I had to exploit the onside. The midwicket boundary was shorter. I anticipated the yorker and was glad to receive one. It was great fun because the knock kind of set the trend for the team. We went on to beat South Africa in the next match and nothing was going to stop us from there,” he added.
