Pakistan fast-bowler, Usman Shinwari has opened a new Pandora box while addressing the media at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Shinwari believes that former bowling coach Azhar Mahmood’s expertise was only limited to T20 bowling and he wasn’t ideal for ODIs and Tests.
Talking about the recently appointed bowling coach, Shinwari said he is looking forward to working with legendary Pakistan pacer Waqar Younis.
“Azhar Mahmood’s coaching was limited to Twenty20 cricket. Since he had played in a lot of leagues, he mainly used to help us in bowling slower ones and Yorkers for T20. Whereas, Waqar bhai can advise on all three formats,” Shinwari said.
The left-arm fast bowler is one of the 20 probables who are taking part in the training camp at Gaddafi Stadium for the upcoming limited-overs series.
