Pakistani fast bowler Usman Khan Shinwari has been named in the ODI squad for the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka which would take place in Lahore and Karachi this year. The left-armer has been away from the side for a couple of months now as he was left out of the team before the start of ICC Cricket World Cup this year.
In his recent interview, Shinwari has expressed excitement over the involvement of former players with the national side.
The 25-year-old said that he is looking forward to work with a legend like Waqar Younis who was feared by batsmen all around the world due to skills as a cricketer. He further expressed a desire to learn the art of reverse swing from one of the pioneers himself as Waqar used to intimidate batsmen with his lethal bowling at the death end.
