Pakistan left-arm fast-bowler Usman Shinwari has expressed his desire to play in all three formats of the game. Usman has made a comeback to Pakistan’s ODI squad for the three-match series against Sri Lanka next week. When asked if he agrees with Amir and Wahab’s decision of quitting red-ball cricket, Shinwari refused to comment but made it clear that he himself wants to play all forms of cricket.
“It would be better to ask this question to Amir and Wahab for not playing the longer version matches but as far as I’m concerned there is a burning desire to play for Pakistan all three formats,” Shinwari said while talking to reporters during the national training camp.
Shinwari was ignored by the selectors for the World Cup 2019 squad despite producing some eye-catching performances in the past few years, including a player of the match-earning five-for in just his second ODI and couple of four-for spells against the likes of South Africa and Australia.
