Belonging to Chennai, Saravanan revealed that he became a Dhoni fan in 2011 when India won their 2nd 50-over World Cup title. He admitted that the moment of Dhoni hitting a six in the final of the World Cup gives him goosebumps. Moreover, Saravanan, who backs MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL), added that Dhoni’s humble nature attracted him a lot.
“I became a Dhoni fan overnight. I think he casted a spell on me. By showing us, the fans, the real feel of the World Cup. When India became World Champions in 2011, I became a huge fan of Dhoni. More than his cricketing exploits, what attracted me to Dhoni was his humble nature,” said by Saravanan Hari.
