India’s wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni is set to extend his break from cricket as sources reported that the veteran cricketer has made himself unavailable for the forthcoming three-game T20I series against Bangladesh. There are also talks about him hanging his boots from the International cricket, but nothing is official yet.
Earlier, the former captain missed the ODIs and T20Is in West Indies and also didn’t participate in the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa. All this made fans anxious who are yet to hear something from their cricket hero as he continues to serve in Army.
Last time Dhoni appeared in the Indian colors was the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament where he brought the men in blue close to a World Cup final berth before being dismissed by Martin Guptill’s stunning fielding effort. It is understood that Rishabh Pant will be India’s first-choice wicket-keeper going forward. However, the future of Dhoni remains uncertain as India inches close to the T20 World Cup which will be played next year in Australia.
