Rishabh Pant, India’s evolving wicket-keeper batsman, has still not able to find his mojo in the International circuit. Pant’s recent performances for India have not been really worthy. He managed to score only 23 runs in the T20I series against South Africa at home.

Moreover, his stats in the Test matches and ODIs have not been really good at all. It is too early to say about the future of 21-year old keeper-batsman, but it will be difficult for him to carry the legacy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Pant’s shot-selection has been another concern for India, the immensely talented youngster time and again throws his wicket away.
He will have to work on his batting and make sure that he is consistent enough to survive in the Indian team. Otherwise, the players like Dinesh Karthik and Sanju Samson are waiting on the bench to earn a spot in the Indian team. Pant is currently averaging 22.90 in ODIs and 20.31 in T20Is.
