Ahead of the difficult tour of India, Bangladesh’s senior cricketer Tamim Iqbal has returned to training as he was spotted batting in the nets of Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. This comes across as a welcoming sign for Bangladesh as they would need valiant contributions from their key player to best a side like India.
Following a dismal show in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament and Sri Lanka tour, the southpaw took a break from the International cricket to regather himself. Meanwhile, he missed the T20I tri-series along with one-off Test match against Afghanistan.
On his return to the nets, the 30-year old batted more than an hour to take dust off his bat. He avoided any media interaction and looked focused towards fixing his batting woes. Moreover, Tamim is likely to participate in the opening two rounds of country’s first-class competition called National Cricket League. Bangladesh’s tour of India is set to commence from November 3 and Tamim wants to reacquire his batting mojo ahead of the tough assignment.
