Team Qalandars has become the latest addition to the fast-paced T10 League with talismanic all-rounder Shahid Afridi revealed as the icon player of the team. Encompassing a total of 29 games, the league is set to commence from November 14 with the final to be played on the 24th of the month.
Owner of the franchise, Fawad Rana was found pleased to sign a contract with the tournament authorities. The Pakistani businessman promised to promote the young guns of the country. Moreover, he is hopeful to sign some mega stars of the cricketing world in the draft scheduled to take place on October 10. It remains to be seen how Qalandars fare while making their debut in the T10 League.
“We’ll portray the talent of Pakistan as our commitment is to promote the emerging players. The draft for the competition is to be held on October 10 and we learnt that many big names will be up for the grab. We are aiming to make a strong combination consisting of young guns and star players,” Fawad Rana said while sharing his plans for the 10-team competition.
