Pakistani all-rounder Fawad Alam is said to be one of the unluckiest cricketers in the country as he has been consistently overlooked for the national side even after being the top performer at the domestic level for years.
The left-hander recently registered the 31st century of his first-class career when he made an unbeaten 100 off just 138 balls while batting with the Sindh tail and taking them to a highly competitive total of 476 against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
The 33-year-old cricketer is still optimistic about his chances to play for Pakistan again as he says that he would keep on putting up dominant performances in domestic cricket and he hopes that he gets his chance soon.
“Ups and downs are a part of life. In whatever short international career that I have had so far, I have faced more downs than ups. But, I try to keep my chin up and make the most of the opportunities that come my way to keep knocking on the door of the selectors,” said Alam.
