The wait is over for the cricket enthusiasts as the Sri Lankan Cricket Team lands in Karachi, Pakistan. The players were welcomed whole-heartedly by the management of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) at Jinnah International Airport, the Lankan boys were also presented with garlands.
The security was world-class on the occasion, there were Elite Police Vehicles, Rangers, Army, and Ambulances which escorted the team to hotel. This is a great moment, not only for the local players but also for the fans.
Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in 3 ODI and 3 T20I matches, making it the longest bilateral series since 2019, the ODIs will be played at the National Stadium Karachi whereas Lahore will host the 20-over battles. The tickets for the matches are available online and they are selling like hotcakes.
The efforts of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Government of Pakistan cannot be neglected at this supreme occasion, with their day and night hard work the tour became practically possible. Sri Lanka will stay in Karachi till 2nd October before they move to Lahore for the T20I series.
