Young Pakistani leg-spinner Shadab Khan has announced he will be donating all of his match fees from the forthcoming series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka to the people affected by the earthquake that jolted different parts of the country recently.
At least 21 people were killed and over 450 injured after an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 on the Richter scale hit Kashmir and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. The deaths were reported from Kashmir’s Mirpur district.
This sad incident has left the nation mourning but Shadab’s gesture has garnered praise from everyone. Pakistan will play six limited-overs fixtures against the touring Sri Lankan team, the first of which will take place in Karachi on September 27.
