In the running season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), Guyana Amazon Warriors seems to be in a different league as compared to all the other teams. Playing 6 games of the tournament, Guyana remained the only unbeaten team with 12 points which allowed the unit to grab the top position of the points table.
After Jamaica Tallawahs’ recent victory against Barbados Tridents, Guyana became the first team to qualify for the play-offs of the competition. This news jubilated the skipper Shoaib Malik who is immensely proud of his team’s effort to reach the next stage of the 20-over event.
Malik took to Twitter to share his happiness as he believes that his team deserves every bit of credit because of the way they played in the tourney.
He has no plans to drop the intensity as he wants to ensure a top-two finish in the league stage. Moreover, the Pakistan veteran is sanguine to continue the good run in the play-offs of the 6-team competition and end up winning the coveted title.
