The Bangladesh U-19 team has left for New Zealand where they play a series of 5-youth ODI matches against the hosts.
The U-19 team of Bangladesh left for their country’s first tour to New Zealand after their senior players managed to escape a deadly terrorist attack in Christchurch.
The series is going to take off from September 29th and a 15-member squad from Bangladesh has already flown to take part in the series.
"New Zealand gave us a formal guarantee, which we worked out and sent it to our government," said Bangladesh Cricket Board chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury.
The security assurances were given to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) before they took off to take part in the series.
