Pakistan cricket team’s wicket-keeper batsman, Mohammad Rizwan opens up about the inconsistent opportunities given to him in the recent past. The 27-year old, who is currently representing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy, feels that he has been given on and off chances recently.
“On and off chances were given to me, but I understand the fact that this is what the situation demands. The players are selected as per the requirements of the team. I learned a lot from Sarfraz Ahmed and I will continue to do so”, Rizwan said. The wicket-keeper batsman has represented Pakistan in 32 ODIS, 13 T20Is, and a single Test match.
Rizwan replaced Sarfraz in the ODI series against Australia prior to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, where he scored 2 centuries in the series but still did not make it to the World Cup squad. However, Rizwan is optimistic that his consistent performances will bear fruit in the near future.
