Pakistan pace bowler Faheem Ashraf has made his way into the top 10 T20I bowlers in the world in the updated list released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Faheem is now one of the three Pakistani bowlers in the top 10, clearly a testament of Pakistan’s No. 1 ranking in the format.
After being announced as the 10th best T20I bowler, the 25-year-old took a dig at his Pakistan and Islamabad United teammate Shadab Khan warning him to beware of his incessant rise. Shadab, currently ranked No. 3, did not hold back in the battle of banter and said he himself had his eyes on the No. 1 spot held by Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan.
Both players are expected to be in action for Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka in Lahore next month while Shadab will be taking the field in the preceding ODI encounters.
