Rashid Khan demands more cricket against top teams

The rise of Afghanistan in cricket has been one of the most sensational stories of the sports world. Despite being a war-torn nation plagued with many muddles, they have continued to punch above their weight. Time and again, the blue team has produced stunning displays and even came really close to beating India and Pakistan in the last edition of the 50-over World Cup.

However, it is disappointing that Afghanistan doesn’t play regular cricket against top teams and this element was recently highlighted by the skipper Rashid Khan. The spin wizard is of the opinion that Afghanistan would have to compete against top teams regularly to become a better side.

Highlighting the fact of playing Australia, New Zealand and England only twice in last 5 years, Rashid added that this won’t help Afghan team to ameliorate their skills. Instead, he wants to battle such teams often so that his unit would get aware of their strengths and weaknesses. Moreover, the 21-year old believes that Afghanistan has all in tank to become a consistent and strong team of the cricketing world.
