Pakistan’s premier paceman Hasan Ali will not be part of the team for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka in Karachi. Although the right-armer’s performances have been in a downward spiral for a while now, his absence still comes as a blow to the Pakistan side.
Hasan reportedly suffers from a back strain that will take time to heal. He could still be in contention for the T20I series in Lahore if he recovers quickly.
Speaking to the media recently, Hasan claimed he was truly optimistic to don the national jersey as soon as he completes the rehabilitation process.
“My rehab has started and I will hopefully be very fit soon. I will be joining the team in no time,” the 25-year-old said. Since making his debut in 2016, Hasan has taken 82 wickets in 53 ODIs while boasting 35 scalps in 30 T20Is.
