Pakistan’s dashing middle-order batsman and Islamabad United’s star, Asif Ali opens up about his special affiliations with the National Stadium Karachi. Asif began his career for Pakistan inside the premises of the National Stadium. But before this, he won the final for Islamabad United back in 2018 on this very ground where he scored a match-winning knock at the end.
He also made his T20I debut against the West Indies at Karachi. Talking about his attachment with NSK, Asif Ali said, “I have very special memories of my career attached with the National Stadium Karachi, we won the final for Islamabad United in PSL season 3, I made my T20I debut for Pakistan here, also scored the fastest half-century of Pakistan Super League. The crowd has always supported me here”
The 27-year old is part of Pakistan’s squad for the home series against Sri Lanka. Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in the 3-match ODI series in Karachi starting from 27th September 2019. After that, both teams will head to Lahore for the T20I battles.
