Former Test cricketer Saeed Ajmal was one of the finest spinners unleashed by the Pakistani soil. After producing magical performances on various occasions, the spin wizard was finally banned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after his action was found to be illegal.
Recently, the 41-year old reflected on the past muddles as he still rues getting out of the International action. Ajmal believes that the governing body of the International cricket should have understood his medical conditions and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) could have played a better role by explaining his case in a better manner.
Moreover, he connected Pakistan’s recent struggles against spin bowling with the dearth of quality spinners in the domestic circuit.
The Faisalabad born was unable to locate any proper Test spinner apart from Yasir Shah. Saeed, a veteran of 35 Tests, 113 ODIs and 64 T20Is, also reflected on the new domestic structure but refrained from making a comment on it as he wants to give the new system some time.
