Ramiz Raja questions Pakistan’s approach in the death overs

Pakistan vanquished over Sri Lanka by 67 runs in the 2nd ODI at the National Stadium Karachi, yet there are few concerns to take into notice going into the next game. The Green team is currently struggling with their power hitting department in the death overs.

Ramiz Raja, Pakistan’s veteran commentator also questioned the Pakistan’s approach in the closing overs of the innings. He said, “Pakistan, as per the norm not blasting to a punishing score even after getting a start. A top tier team would have got 350 at least on a feather bed against a side that has the poorest average –Sri Lanka”.

Pakistan does lack power-hitting ability at the death, except for Imad Wasim, no one has really been able to up the momentum in the latter half of the innings. Misbah-ul-Haq needs to work with the team in this regard and make sure that Pakistan deal with this issue as soon as possible.
