Sri Lanka’s two young all-rounders almost did the impossible for their team in the 1st ODI against Pakistan. After losing 5 wickets inside the first powerplay, Dasun Shanaka and Shehan Jayasuriya played with extreme responsibility to bring the hosts back into the match.
Shanaka (96) fell short of his first ODI ton by just four runs whilst Shanaka who looked extremely aggressive in his approach scored 68 with the help of two gigantic sixes and 6 boundaries.
Shehan, on the other hand, scored 7 fours and a 6 in his innings of 96. Though, Sri Lanka lost the match by 67 runs but recovering from 28-5 was quite commendable.
