After a gap of 4 years, Pakistan’s top-order batsman Babar Azam is experiencing a full-fledged white-ball tour by a top cricketing nation. To celebrate the return of the ODI cricket, the Pakistani run machine did what he’s known for – smashing a stunning ODI century.
While Babar’s shoulders were burdened by the added pressure of vice-captaincy and home crowd, the Lahore born produced an elite batting outing to register his 11th ton in 50-over cricket.
“When you play in front of your home crowd, there’s more joy than pressure. You really enjoy yourself and I did. There’s no extra pressure associated with it, and I never try to burden myself with such thoughts. I try to focus on what I need to learn and improve,” said Babar Azam as he reflected on the pressure element while playing at home.
The 24-year old cleared that he doesn’t look to take extra pressure and enjoyed playing in front of his home crowd. Moreover, he is confident about continuing his good run in the forthcoming matches.
